Hello from Teresa and Kelly!

It is a beautiful bright day here in Kentucky as I am writing this to all of you. However, in other parts of our country they are experiencing possibly devastating weather in the form of hurricane Ike. I can’t help but wonder how that would feel to know that your home, with all of your precious possessions, could be wiped away in an instant. The thought of having to start over is daunting. But, if your family and friends are unharmed then nothing else matters and starting over is just a small obstacle to overcome. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone in the Gulf area during this time and we hope that the aftereffects will be minimal.
On a lighter note, if I had to replace my sewing room it would be very difficult to get my insurance company to understand and believe that there was that much fabric, that many books and that many patterns and notions in one room alone. Also in that room, there is one Pfaff sewing machine, three Singer Featherweight sewing machines and a Brother Embroidery machine. Also, at this moment, there is fabric stored in three other rooms of my house and a Singer treadle sewing machine in my living room. Kelly has what I consider a sewing suite in the basement of her home that includes it’s own bathroom and bedroom and a second kitchen. See what I mean by a “Sewing Suite” or should I say "Sewing Sweet". I'm sure every time Kelly goes into her basement it must feel like another day in paradise.
We all love our sewing areas and would never want to lose them whether it is a large room over the garage, the whole top floor or basement of your home or just a little corner in a family room or bedroom. It is still our area to relax and enjoy sewing.
